Try to connect your friend's game by typing in his private IP address which usually ranges from 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255. AOM uses UDP port 2300 by default for in game traffic (which might also equate to UDP port 64520 depending on how your router is set up - safest bet is to just open both - In other words, on your router set trigger, inbound and outbound to UDP port 2300 and then do the same for UDP port 64520). Just add your AoM:TT launcher to your firewall exception list (C:/Program Files/AoM:TT/AoMX.exe) and/or forward the necessary ports. You should never have to turn off your entire firewall to be able to host/join LAN games. I'm not an expert on this area, but there are a few things you could try.įirst, make sure you and your friend are on the same subnet mask (Open Command located at C:/Windows/System32/cmd.exe and type ipconfig). Network problems have nothing to do with the game installation.
